Healthy Living

As a dancer I have to be very aware of keeping my body in a healthy state both physically and mentally. It is so important to make sure that we are doing everything we can to take care of our bodies every day. This means eating healthy, getting exercise, sleeping, etc. I don’t know about all of you but I think one of the hardest things for me to do is always eat healthy ūüėĀ It has taken me a while to learn this but eating healthy does not mean you have to eat kale for every meal;) It is about a well balanced diet and portion control. I have found a lot of ways to enjoy eating healthy and also have found some loop holes to satisfying my sweet tooth without succumbing to a whole tub of ice cream… ūüėČ I would love to hear about your tricks and tips as well and any questions you have about this topic.

Now this will not all be about eating (even though that is one of my favorite things to do;)) I also want to share some of my favorites things to do for exercise outside of dancing and give you my advice for staying active!     Do you use a specific protein shake mix? Which would you say is best? Or do you prefer meal replacement shakes?? I am interested in all the mixes but don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars and then end of not liking it… and then I have all these tubs of powder hahaha! I know for me, I’m a big fruit eater – is there such thing as too much fruit?? That’s how I suffice my chocolate or dessert cravings but some people have said that more than 2 cups of fruit of day can be too much??

    Also, what are some exercises you like to do outside dancing? I’m interested in learning new workouts to do at home! ūüôā
