4 Minimalist Hero Pieces for Your Closet

Hero’s don’t have to exist just in the movies, guys. I prefer them to also exist in my closet. All jokes aside, I love having some staple pieces that I keep going back to, can style several different ways, and am okay investing in because I know I’ll get a ton of use out of them. My top four essentials are below!

The Blazer

Everyone needs a good blazer in their life. You can wear it with jeans, style a dress, or even jazz up a workout set, and I love one that is a little oversized and double-breasted.

Jeans

This one goes without saying, but there is nothing like a good pair of jeans. I am obsessed with these classic Levi’s, and find myself going back to them repeatedly.

Ankle Boot

The ankle boot is definitely my favorite boot style, and they are the perfect transition from season to season and work well with a pant or a skirt. Of course, I highly recommend these from our collection with Böhme- how amazing are these colors!

Basic Tee

Maybe I’m cliché, but a plain white tee is definitely a closet staple for me. It is such a versatile piece to throw on to run errands or tuck into a pair of jeans and head to dinner.

What are some of your closet staples? Comment below and let me know!

What I Purchased From H&M

If you know me, you know I don’t stray too far from Amazon Fashion, but lately, I’ve been loving clothing from Nasty Gal, Abercrombie, and most recently H&M. H&M, to my surprise, has so many incredible options at really great prices. I love how they merchandise their store – their online store is also super easy to navigate! Everything they put out is so cute, and I love how they team up with designers to collaborate. They did a Brock Collection collab this year, and the dresses looked like they belonged in Bridgerton, but they were only a fraction of what Brock Collection normally charges. H&M has a lot of wardrobe basics, too. Most of their basics are made from great quality fabrics so that they can last for a while. I just did a mini fall haul and added a lot of fall colors to my wardrobe. Shop everything I purchased from H&M below! This might be my new favorite store for my fall shopping.

What’s In My Fall Sephora Cart

Does anyone else stock up on their favorite beauty products and try new products as the seasons change?! I tend to do four big Sephora hauls per year. I love seeing what’s new each season, especially since my skincare and makeup change depending on the weather. For the upcoming season, I added a lot of hydrating products to my cart, as well as mauvy-toned lip glosses and eye palettes. I’m really digging the faux freckle trend, so I purchased a few felt tip eyeliner to help achieve this look. I also bought some of Addison Rae’s Item Beauty products because why not! I’m a sucker for new brands at Sephora. I mean, they are in Sephora for a reason, so they must be good, right? Let me know what you added to your fall beauty carts in the comments below!

Affordable Fashion Finds

Fashion doesn’t always have to break the bank! In all honesty, I hate spending a lot of money on one single thing. Especially with buying clothes, everything is trend-based, so I never want to invest in an item that will go out of style in a few months. At the same time, I still like to find quality pieces – just at affordable prices! You all know how much I love Amazon. I get half of my wardrobe from there! The fashion is always on point, and I’ve really lucked out with buying quality items. I also love stores like Missguided and Nasty Gal. They have so many trendy items, and the clothes last a long time. You really don’t have to spend a lot of money to get the same look – it’s all about finding the right store to shop at. I rounded up a few of my favorite affordable items from some of the best stores below!

Sage’s Favorite Things: 10 Month Old Edition

My baby girl is 10 months!! I can’t believe it. She’s growing so much, and she’s constantly learning, exploring, and teaching me new things about her. She’s currently into her music table, she loves practicing to walk with a push walker, and she’s OBSESSED with my phone, so I got her this one – she can even take selfies!! Between 9-12 months, babies go through so many different developmental milestones, so I’m constantly researching and staying up to date with the types of toys she should be playing with and what’s best for her at this pivotal time in her life.

Labor Day Weekend Outfit Guide

LDW is here! Summer is coming to an end, and fall fashion is right around the corner, but you still have about a month or so left of warm weather outfits, depending on where you live. I love LDW because it celebrates the end of summer and gets me so excited for fall. It’s still so warm in Utah, so I’ll be wearing my last bit of summer clothes this weekend. Whether you’re heading on a quick vacation, spending the weekend at the beach or lake, or just attending a few bbq’s I rounded up a few different looks for you to shop from. A lot of these pieces are transitional and can be worn throughout the fall, so if you need some new clothes for the end of summer and early fall, shop my picks below!

Best Of The Free People Sale

Free People has become one of my favorite stores to shop from! The quality of their clothing is really incredible, especially their workout sets. They have an amazing sale going on right now that I shared in my stories last week, but I wanted to do a post so all the items can be found in one place. When looking for the links, I found a few more pieces on sale that are SO worth it, like this matching sweater set – so perfect for fall. With fall almost here, you might not be able to wear some of these summer items, but if there’s a classic dress you know you’ll wear next summer, then add it to your cart ASAP!! A little tip for shopping end-of-summer sales: try to spend money on classic items that won’t go out of style vs. trendy items that are most likely to go out of style by next summer.

Fall Fashion Must Haves

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but there’s only one more month of Summer. I also can’t believe I’m saying this because it’s currently 96 degrees in Utah, and I don’t see myself wearing sweaters any time soon. With that said, fall fashion is here, and all the designers are dropping so many new fall outfits and setting new trends. I thought it would be a good idea to round up the best of the fall fashion that’s currently out to start building out your fall wardrobes. I think fall is my favorite season to dress for because it’s still warm enough to wear a cute outfit and not have it covered up with a big puffer jacket. This season, all I’m seeing is fringe, mixed prints, and leather, and I’m so into it. Shop my fall picks below!

Natural Glam With a Pop of Color

  1. Primer: Becca First Light Priming Filter. This is super hydrating and preps your skin for your foundation. You can also wear it on its own.
  2. Foundation: Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk. This foundation is my ride or die. It’s not thick and still looks natural – I love it when you can see freckles through your foundation. It’s perfect for every skin type! I mix two shades to get my perfect match!
  3. Concealer: Too Faced Born This Way: This concealer is my ride or die. It’s super hydrating and doesn’t cake up under your eyes. It’s smooth and blends right into the skin. I highly recommend it. I use This brush to blend it in!
  4. Bronzer/Contour: Physician’s Formula: I use this as a light contour/bronzer! It’s THE BEST. I’ve been using it for years and always come back to it. I do it on my cheekbones, neck, forehead, nose, and down my neck.
  5. Blush: MAC Warm Soul: I don’t like super pink blushes, so this one is a happy medium. It has a little shimmer and makes me look sunkissed.
  6. Highlighter: HUDA Beauty: I love how it has three different colors to choose from. I put it on my cheekbones, top of my noes, and top of my lip. This highlighter is buttery soft and blends right in.
  7. Eyeshadow: This palette is SO good. You can make so many looks, from natural to a dark smokey eye.
  8. Eyeliner: I’m all about a colored eyeliner for summer! It instantly elevates your glam look and is so fun and different.
  9. Lashes: Glamnetic Magnetic Lashes: These are hands down the best fake lashes ever. They are magnetic and so easy to apply. You just put on the eyeliner, and it sticks to it!
  10. Mascara: Charlotte Tilbury: I love this mascara! It separates and lifts them without clumping.
  11. Brow Brush: This one has a brush and then a pencil to fill in your brows.
  12. Lip Gloss: Maybelline Lip Filter Gloss: This is the perfect gloss for every day. It’s super hydrating and glowy.
  13. Setting Spray: Urban Decay Setting Spray: This is the best setting spray. It sets your makeup and prevents any creases or wrinkles in your makeup throughout the day.
