My Favorite Mommy & Me Outfits

I never thought I would be that mom who wants to match their daughter every day, but I can’t help it!! Are any other mamas out there guilty of this? Even if I don’t have an exact matching outfit, I always try to have us coordinate. I know this won’t last forever, so I plan on having us wear matching outfits until Sage tells me to stop! My absolute favorite brand, which really sparked my love for mommy & me outfits, is Ivy City. They have the BEST DRESSES and matching sets for your little one! It’s not only for babies either; they have newborn through toddler sizes, so if you have multiple little girls, you can all match (can’t wait to do this one day). The quality of their clothing is incredible, and they always come out with the best style and patterns each season. They have a dress for every occasion! Whether you’re looking for the perfect Sunday dress, need something for Easter, or just looking to add more spring colors into your wardrobe Ivy City has so many cute options for both you and your baby girl!

If you saw my story a few weeks ago, I hinted at collaborating with Ivy City! I’m so excited to share that I’ll be designing a few pieces with them. I can’t share anything else yet, but you will all be the first to know! I can’t WAIT for you all to see what we have been working on.

The Best Workout Outfits

Ever since starting Move With Linds, I’ve been on the hunt for the best activewear brands. I pretty much only wear workout clothing now since I work out everyday and film new workout videos for the program! I’m pretty picky about what I like to wear when I workout. I don’t have time to fix my sports bra or keep pulling up my pants, especially when I’m filming a new workout, so when I find a brand that works, I usually order a few sets! Speaking of sets, I’m all about them. There’s nothing like a matching workout outfit. I always feel so put together and stylish! One of my favorite workout brands to order from is Beyond Yoga. If you haven’t tried their clothing before, you are missing out. Everything they make is buttery soft, and no matter how many times you wash it, it never hurts the quality. They have so many cute colors and sets to choose from. If you’re new to the brand, start with the Caught In The Midi High Waisted Legging and the Cropped Tank. You’ll pretty much never want to wear anything else once you try their stuff!

Another brand I’ve ordered a lot from lately is Free People. Their ribbed leggings hold you in at all the right places and never slip down when you workout. If you’ve tried my workout program, you know how much we move around, so I love not ever having to pull my leggings up every time I jump squat. I love how Free People’s activewear is different than anything out there. They have so many fun styles with cutouts and prints. One of my favorite sets I’ve been wearing on repeat is the Hot Shot Legging paired with the Hot Shot Crop. It comes in so many different colors, and it’s perfect for all types of movement or just lounging.

For all my past and present dancers, you’ll also love the brand Five Dancewear. They have a lot of dance-specific clothing, but they also have so many cute workout sets. I wore a few of them during my pregnancy and in my workout videos!

And we can’t forget about shoes!! My favorite sneaker brand ever is APL. They created the most comfortable, functional, and stylish sneaker ever. I wear this style in my workouts!

What’s In My Cart For Spring

Ahhh, I feel like Spring is almost in the air. Yes, it did just snow the other day, but I’m mentally already in Spring mode. I just did a MAJOR Spring closet cleanout. If you haven’t cleaned out your closet, it’s so therapeutic. Not only do you feel really accomplished after, but you feel so much lighter. I am definitely a hoarder and hold on to things thinking I will wear them, but I told myself if I haven’t worn it in the last few months; it’s a toss (I donated my clothes!!). Another benefit to cleaning out your closet, more room for fresh items! I like to do a little shopping spree before each season. It’s nice to hit refresh on your wardrobe and add in some new pieces. Although we’re still all at home, my cart is filled with beautiful pastel dresses and warmer clothes for my imaginary vacation I’ll be taking. It’s been fun living in sweats this winter, but I’m ready to break free from my winter uniform and wear a dress – even if I’m just hanging at home with Sage.

Some of my favorite stores to shop for clothes are Shopbop, Nordstrom, and Revolve. You can find items at all different price ranges, and I love stalking their “what’s new” pages because they all have an amazing curation of items. Shop what’s currently in my cart for spring below!

3 Snacks We Love That I Always Have Stocked

Sam and I LOVE to snack. We recently just organized our entire pantry, which made me realize just how many snacks we have. Side note: if you haven’t organized your pantry before, it’s a must. It helps keep track of everything you have and what you need more of, and it makes grocery shopping so much easier because you can check your inventory. We worked with Reset Your Nest to organize our pantry, and I can’t believe we went this long without doing that. You don’t realize just how much trash you accumulate as well as expired food items. If you’re looking to organize your pantry on your own, Amazon and The Container Store have great options for storage containers. Depending on how organized you want to get, start by taking everything out of the packaging and put it in clear containers with labels. This helps keep your food fresh longer and lets you know exactly what you have. There’s nothing like walking into a pantry and being able to see all the incredible snacks you have.

Speaking of snacks, I wanted to share 3 of our absolute favorite snacks we always have stocked. The first is Verb Bars. If you haven’t tried a Verb Bar yet, you’re missing out. They are gluten-free and vegan and made with organic green tea to provide long-lasting energy. I don’t like coffee, so I love how these bars give me energy throughout the day but don’t leave me jittery. They are only 90 calories and taste sooo delicious. I have them stocked in our pantry, but I also keep some in my car and purse because they are perfect for on the go. Newborn life is tough, and sometimes you need just a quick energy boost to get you through the day, which is why I love these bars so much.

Another snack we keep stocked is popcorn. There’s nothing like a warm bowl of popcorn when you’re sitting on the couch watching The Bachelor. We love Pop Zero popcorn. They come in so many different flavors, and it’s filled with amazing ingredients. Pro tip: sprinkle some chocolate chips on top of your popcorn and zap it in the microwave for a minute. It’s life-changing!

Last but certainly not least, we love our jerky. This is a staple in our pantry! It’s the perfect snack after a workout or when I don’t have time to make a meal but need something fast that fills me up and has protein. Whenever we drive to our cabin, we always make sure to grab a bag for the road!

Comfy Outfits I’m Wearing On Repeat Right Now

2020 was all about comfy outfits, but almost 3 months into 2021, I’m still living in sweat sets. Honestly, I’m not mad about it since most days are spent at home with Sagey. From robes and rompers to matching sweat sets, I rounded up all of my favorite comfy outfits I’ve been wearing on repeat right now. New mom life isn’t that glamourous, but I like to feel put together and cozy even if we don’t leave home. I know you’re probably thinking, “not another sweat set,” but a lot of these can be styled and dressed up for when you do leave your home! I normally add some jewelry and cute sneakers with any sweat set, and it instantly elevates the look and makes you look like you aren’t just in sweats. Jumpsuits are also really easy to take from couch to dinner (is that a thing?) – just throw on a cardigan and some booties, and you’ll have the cutest and coziest outfit. I love my jumpsuit I ordered from Old Navy. I saw my mom wearing it and had to have it. It’s buttery soft and is perfect for lounging around, running some errands, or zoom calls.

I shop for most of my cozy clothes on Shopbop, Nordstrom, Amazon, and Revolve. They all have so many great options at all different price ranges. I also linked a few of my favorite robes. Although you really can’t leave the house in a robe, I’ve definitely thought about it before. If you were to invest in one robe, I can’t recommend the Barefoot Dreams CozyChic robe enough. It’s a little pricey but so worth it.

3 Nail Design Trends I’m Dying To Try

If you know me, you know I love to get funky with my nail art. I’m all for a simple nude, but I love to switch it up sometimes and wear a cool design on my nails. You always see cool nail art on the runway, which intimidated me a bit, but now that I’ve done it a few times, I can’t go back. Having my nails done is a must, and when you have a cool pattern, it’s the perfect accessory to any outfit. Find my 3 favorite nail design trends I’m dying to try below.

3 Changes I Made To My Wellness Routine When I Got Pregnant

It still feels a little crazy that we’ve had Sage in our lives for a few months! I’ve had some time to reflect on my pregnancy and the changes that I made to stay as healthy as possible during those 9 months. You all know I love to keep up with my wellness routine, but when you’re pregnant, there are definitely a few things that you have to focus a little extra on since you’re literally growing a human! Since this time can be a bit tough to navigate especially if you’re becoming a mom for the first time, I thought I’d share the top 3 changes that I made to my wellness routine when I got pregnant! Although many of these things I tried to do regularly beforehand, I knew I would have to put an extra emphasis on them, so I stuck with these habits during pregnancy.

#1 Taking Vitamins Regularly

This was a big one for me! Taking a prenatal is so important during pregnancy. If you’ve followed along with me on IG, you know that I added Ritual’s prenatal to my wellness routine during this time, and I’m currently taking their postnatal right after! They have great options for a regular multivitamin for men, women, and even kids. This change will definitely stick with me even post-partum. My code still works if you want to try! Use LINDSAYC10 for 10% off your first 3 months!

#2 Staying Active

I’ve always been a very active person, so this was a pattern for me already, but with pregnancy, I definitely switched up my workouts a bit to suit what I felt I needed during that time. For me, that meant less intense cardio and more slow, low impact movements like pilates and yoga! This helped a lot with relieving back pain and so much more! If you’re new to following me, I created a workout program while I was pregnant with Sage. Sign up here for a 7-day free trial!

#3 Hydrate

Hydrating is so important when it comes to keeping your body healthy! I’ve definitely always made a habit of drinking water, but it’s not easy to remember when you’re running around all day. During pregnancy, I really started to prioritize drinking water all day long. One huge tip that helped me was getting one of those huge water bottles from amazon to keep track of how much water you’re drinking in a day!

3 Hydrating Products My Skin Needs In The Winter

Living in Utah, I’m pretty familiar with the all too real dry skin that comes with winter! I’m always on the hunt for products that can stand up to the bitter cold up here, but as always, I have my trusty go-to’s always stocked in my vanity! My skin tends to get extra dry during this season, so I really have to find a product that can soak into my skin slowly and provide a barrier to protect it throughout the day. Winter is no joke, and the redness that comes with dry skin can be so uncomfortable! So, if you live in equally as chilly winter temperatures, this blog post is for you! These are the products that work for me that I love most from some of my absolute favorite brands! They may run a little bit more expensive than your average drug store finds, but I find that they last longer because you use less, and they’re totally worth the extra $!

Nursery Organization: 5 Tips That Helped Me

One of the things I was most excited about when I found out I was pregnant with baby Sage was tackling the nursery! For all the mamas out there, you know exactly what I mean when you’re deep into nesting mode. I wanted her room to be perfect, and if you know me, you know I love to stay organized! I’m a huge fan of using different organizational products to make sure everything has its own place, but I definitely knew I needed to research and find some tips that other mamas found helpful while coming up with a system that would work for us!

So, I thought I’d pull together a blog post of some of the most helpful tips I found while researching to share them with all of you! There’s always room to make a system that works best for you and your family, but these tips were my guiding light when finding a system that worked for me. Let me know in the comments below if you have any other tips!

#1 Use Under Crib Space

This tip is amazing for finding storage space you wouldn’t normally think of using! I’m thinking I’ll probably use the under crib space for Sage’s off-season clothing so we can swap out her closet for clothes she’s using daily.

#2 Use A Dresser As A Changing Table

This was such a great tip for us! The room we were working with wasn’t big enough for a dresser and changing table, so utilizing most of our space, we ended up just using the top of her dresser as her changing station! Perfect for extra storage and space to store supplies.

#3 Drawer Organizers Are Non-Negotiable

Drawer organizers were a must for us. I love opening her drawers and seeing everything perfectly organized and in its place! It makes it way easier to find what you’re looking for in a pinch, and looks so organized!

#4 Bins Will Save Your Life

If you’re a fan of organizing, you know that bins are an absolute must for everything! I love using these for the miscellaneous things that we might not be using all the time but eventually reach for! Bonus points for finding a chic basket or bin that blends in with your decor! Pro tip: add a label, so you know exactly what is in each bin.

#5 Stocked Baby Essentials Basket

When dealing with a newborn, you never know when you need to make a quick change in the house! We learned that having an “essentials” basket that we can leave in the living room or anywhere is great for the stuff you reach for most frequently and makes life way easier!
