5 Travel Accessories Every New Mom Needs

One of the first things I thought about when we decided to take our first family trip was all the research I wanted to do on different travel accessories! There are so many options out there in all different price ranges, but I got so many questions in my DM’s while we were away, so I figured I’d answer them all in one blog post! If you’re a mama looking for good travel accessories that will make traveling more convenient – this is the post for you!

From strollers to essential products I kept in my diaper bag the whole trip – there were a select few products that really stood out to me and were extremely worth the investment. When traveling with a baby, we realized that downsizing to only the most essential items was key, so we cut down on the amount we were actually lugging through the airport! Keep scrolling for the 5 travel accessories I think every new mom needs!

3 Winter Layers I’m Wearing Daily

Now that we’re officially in the deep winter months here in Utah, I had to do a roundup of the absolute essential winter layers I wear when we leave the house now! When temperatures hit those single digits, you really learn how crucial it is to layer up, so you stay warm no matter how cold it gets! There’s no worse feeling than being freezing all the time, and you can appreciate the winter and how gorgeous it is when you can feel your feet and stay warm.

So, if you’re living somewhere in the country where the winter months require more than one layer, this post is for you! Keep scrolling for the 3 winter layers I’m wearing daily and honestly can’t live without during a chilly Utah winter!

#1 Hiking Socks

There’s nothing better than a cozy warm sock keeping your feet warm! I usually opt for hiking socks or waffle knit, so I know they’ll keep my feet super warm. Another great option I’ve discovered if you live in the cold is toe warmers! They’ll become your best friend if your toes get cold!

#2 Fleece Sweaters & Vests

Fleece sweaters are a staple in the northern states for a reason! I love layering up underneath my winter coat and adding a cozy fleece or vest to keep my whole body warm. There are plenty of options for sweaters and vests in all price ranges and depending on how warm you want to be!

#3 Cozy Scarves

This has always been one of my favorite accessories to give people as gifts! Nothing cozier than a good cashmere or knitted scarf. They’re a staple layer when the temperature really starts to plummet and can look so chic when styled correctly! I’m usually a fan of the chunkier scarves I can also use as a wrap after taking off my coat!

You all know I’m a huge fan of beauty. One thing that I haven’t really swapped out for some time now are my all-time favorite scents. There’s something super special about finding a fragrance you love that sticks with you forever! I love wearing a scent that I haven’t picked up in a while, which takes me back to the first time I discovered it. Usually, with my perfumes, I tend to opt for the more floral or fruity scents and loveee how it lasts all day long. So, if you’re in the market for a new fragrance in your life, this post is for you! My Favorite Beauty Products Of 2020

It’s finally 2021, and it’s time to reflect on all my favorite beauty products from the year before! Last year was a whirlwind, and I didn’t wear a ton of makeup for most of it, but now that I’m a mom, I know the products I truly cannot live without! These guys have gotten me through the toughest weeks when getting ready seems like too much to handle. As a mom, I’ve really learned the importance of getting fully ready in 5 minutes, so I can dedicate as much time as possible to making sure baby Sage is good to go!

So, if you’re interested in trying out some of my favorite holy grail beauty products from last year, keep scrolling for 5 products I honestly can’t imagine living without!

#1 Tula Eye Balm

I love this eye balm! It works so well for lightening up my under eyes after running on much less sleep lately! It moisturizes and leaves such a good finish for concealer or no makeup at all!

#2 Make Up For Ever Water Blend Face & Body Foundation (Y325)

You all have definitely heard me mention this face and body foundation, it is one of my absolute holy grail products! The finish is the perfect balance of sheer but not too much. I use shade Y235 for reference ❤️

#3 Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer

This bronzer is life-changing. It’s the perfect consistency for great coverage and feels moisturizing on your skin compared to other bronzers! One of my favorite drugstore brands and products for sure.

#4 Boscia Matcha Magic Super Antioxidant Mask

This is one of the first masks I reach for when I’m in serious need of some self-care and TLC on my skin! It’s so hydrating and leaves my skin very glowy after even just one use.

#5 Patrick Ta Precision Lip Crayon

I’m the ultimate lazy girl when it comes to my lips, I love trying different lip balms and everyday products, but I rarely go all out with a crazy bold lip! This lip crayon is such a rich texture, and a little goes a long way. It’s the perfect everyday nude and a staple in my everyday makeup look.

3 Workout Must Haves Everyone Needs At Home

2020 was definitely the year of learning to get moving inside and at home instead of the gym or workout classes we’re all so used to! Since this year was also the year I launched my fitness platform, Move With Linds, I knew I had to make a blog post rounding up the essentials you’ll need if you start working out with me regularly. My favorite part of all of these workouts is how versatile they can be location wise! All you really need are a few essentials to get started, and as always, everything can be modified to meet you where you are on your fitness journey.

I’m a big believer in keeping my workouts simple, sweet, and to the point! I don’t love overdoing it with tons of different weights or machines and find that using your bodyweight can be plenty if you’re looking to tone and define your body! With that in mind, keep scrolling for the 3 workout must-haves I think everyone should have at home.

Home Organization: 3 Changes I’m Making In 2021

Since baby Sage’s arrival, it’s safe to say it’s been a tornado trying to keep up with the laundry and basic organization that I live for! Now that we’ve entered the new year, it’s time to get back to business and really dedicate some time to organizing my home. Since we’ve been a family of 3 for a few months now, it’s easier to tell the stuff that we tend to use more frequently that needs to be in immediate reach vs. the things that can be stored in her closet. If you’re a new mama going through the same right now, this post is all about cutting out the clutter and organizing, so you actually know where things are! Keep scrolling for 3 of my biggest tips for anyone who’s trying to re-organize that room in your house you’ve been neglecting for too long.

#1 Cutting Out Clutter

Before you start organizing any space, it’s important to make sure everything you’re organizing is actually still useful and necessary! I usually make this easy by sorting everything into two piles, keep or donate. If it’s a baby product that we might not need anymore, I try to donate whatever possible to make sure nothing goes to waste.

#2 Sorting

This brings me to my next point, after I’m done cutting out the clutter, I start sorting into different categories, including priority. If it’s something that I’m reaching for multiple times a day – it belongs in plain sight so that I can grab it easily! If it’s something that I might not need daily, like extra swaddles, blankets, onesies – I can set it aside to put in her dresser or closet!

#3 Labeling Everything

I’m a label junkie! It gives me so much satisfaction to open up baby girl’s dresser or closet (or honestly any part of my home) and see all the organized labels, so everything has a place and a corresponding label. I’m a big believer that labeling things can actually keep you more motivated to stay organized and put everything back in its rightful place.

3 Skincare Brands That Changed My Skin This Year

I still cannot believe we made it through the century that was 2020! The beginning of a new year is usually a time for reflection, and one thing I’m so grateful for now that baby Sage is here is being able to settle back into my *new* normal routine as a new mom! No one really talks about how much your skin changes along with everything else; because of these crazy changes, I had to start digging for some new products to keep blemishes at bay! Since I know so many of you are new mama’s, I had to share the wealth. There are a lot of products that I love and keep in my routine consistently, but I had to make some adjustments after experiencing some hyperpigmentation and other changes. Keep scrolling for 3 skincare brands that changed my skin this year ❤️  If you’re a new mama going through this, I’m with you and know it gets better!

My Favorite Hair Styling Tools Right Now

From the Dyson to the three-barrel curling iron, I’ve tried pretty much every hair styling tool there is. Since I don’t have all the time in the world, I love styling tools that can style my hair in 30 minutes or less. However, some of the tools that I’ve tried have really damaged my hair! So, I wanted to put together a list of the three tools I absolutely love. These three tools give my hair a different look, but they’re all super gentle, won’t damage your hair, and will give you that fresh salon look!

1. Dyson

I’m sure you’ve heard about the Dyson before, and I have to say it’s worth the hype. I have the air wrap, which comes with a few different add ons so you can style your hair in different ways. It also includes a blow-dry attachment so you can rough dry your hair before you style it. I love how it’s a 2-in-1 tool! It drys and styles your hair at the same time, plus it has intelligent heat controls that measure air temperature to prevent extreme heat damage while styling. If you want that perfect salon blowout, this is the tool for you! It’s definitely an investment, but you can achieve so many different looks with just this one tool, so it’s worth it. If you wait for a Sephora sale, you can usually find it at a discounted rate!!

2. BondiBoost Wave Wand

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I love my BondiBoost wave wand. I’ve been using all of BondiBoost’s products for almost a year now, and it’s such a great brand. The wave wand gives you those big bouncy waves, and it’s by far the easiest tool to use! Although it doesn’t dry your hair simultaneously, it only takes me about 10 minutes to style it! It’s perfect for any hair type, and the heated ceramic produces negatively charged ions to create soft waves without any frizz.

3. BrushX

I just discovered this tool a few months ago, and it’s quickly become one of my top hair styling tools. It’s a hairdryer and straightener all in one. It also works to repair your hair as you use it! I use it on damp hair and can style my hair in under 10 minutes. Every time I use it, everyone asks where I got my hair done. I love the volume it gives your hair, plus my hair feels silky smooth after.

3 Newborn Products Every Mama Should Have

I get so many questions asking what my must-have newborn products are, and now that Sage is almost two months old, I wanted to put a list together of the three products I use daily and couldn’t imagine my life without. Every mom needs these three items, so if you’re expecting, just had a baby, or are looking for a gift for a new mama, you can’t go wrong with these products!

The first newborn product every mama needs is the DockATot. Sage LIVES in this! It’s so cozy and safe, and I love that we can move it around the house. Whether I’m in my bathroom getting ready, filming Youtube videos with my sisters, or sitting on my laptop in the living room, Sage is always right by my side, lying in her DockATot. This is worth every penny because you will use it every day. They have so many different covers, and it’s washable! Since it’s winter, we added a cozy blanket, and honestly, I wish they made one for adults because she looks so snuggly in there!

The second newborn product every mama needs is a baby wrap. I’ve tried a few different ones, but I love my Solly Baby Wrap. I had a hard time at first putting Sage down. I was carrying her for most of the day, and it was tough to get anything done. I received the Solly Baby Wrap as a baby shower present, so I tried it on, and I’ve never looked back. It’s incredibly secure, lightweight, and they come in so many cute patterns and prints. Sam can even wear it, too! This way, I can still hold Sage, but now I have my hands back!

The third newborn product every mama needs is the Doona Car Seat and Stroller. Don’t get me wrong, I love all of my strollers, but this one is super convenient and easy to use. Instead of having to worry about a stroller AND car seat, this is a two in one. We love it, especially if I’m running errands with Sage, or if we go for a little weekend getaway, we bring this with us! We have an upcoming trip to Mexico, and we plan on bringing this, so we don’t have to worry about carrying too much gear. Every mom needs this stroller in their life!
