Father’s Day is almost here, so I thought I would put together a blog post with gift ideas! I rounded up some of Sam’s favorite things he already owns and a few things I have my eyes on for him. It’s his first Father’s Day, so I’m spoiling him a little more than usual. From APL sneakers, a meat thermometer to a jogging stroller, you’ll find something special for the men in your life. I ALWAYS struggle with gifts for my dad and want to make sure I get him something meaningful but also useful – anyone else feel that way? I love giving gifts but never want to give someone something that’s going to get thrown out, so I rounded up the best gifts that are meaningful AND will be put to use.

I cannot believe how quickly Sage is growing and that we are starting to have to size up in some of her clothes. Of course, I went right to Amazon to stock up on some of our favorites and found a few new amazing finds, too. I wanted to share Sage’s haul with everyone.
These pajamas sell out so quickly on Amazon (and everywhere!), so I always grab a pair or two when I see her size in colors she doesn’t have. The fabric is so comfy for sleep, and the zipper is great for diaper changes.
With Sage eating solids now, I’m always searching for a bib or cloth for all of the drool. I loved this pastel 10-pack for summer and had to get it, and these muslin cloths were a must-have, too.
They have the most buttery soft fabric and are super breathable for summer months. I love the little no-slip dots on the footpads for when Sage starts moving and grooving and the tag-free label for sensitive skin!
This sweatsuit will be perfect for cooler summer evenings. The color and the sun detail were too adorable not to buy, and I’m so excited to see Sage in it.
I’m a firm believer that a girl can never have too many bows, so I stocked up on a few more colors in this haul. And after Sage’s first pigtails, I went a little overboard and ordered hair ties in every color!
These ribbed rompers are perfect for throwing in the diaper bag or taking for quick, comfy changes. I love them! There are so many options to choose from, too.
When Sage isn’t in her favorite sleep sacks, we use wearable blankets. I loved this print and the muslin fabric for summer, it’s great for when she needs something lightweight for naptime or playtime.
Bloomers and rompers are SO cute in the warmer months with little knee-high socks. I love the material and color of these, and they have little grips on the inside that make them less likely to fall down.
I am loving doing these Amazon hauls and sharing them with you guys. This was the first time I did a clothing haul for Sage, and I am excited to do more!
It wasn’t until recently that we started having a true bedtime routine with Sage, and I honestly love it. It feels like such a special time together to unwind from the day and be together as a little family of three. Some of you have asked what our routine looks like, so I figured I’d do a quick blog post of what we do before bed!
We start our routine about an hour or so before Sage is supposed to go to sleep. With how our schedules are, the time varies, but we try to put her down between 8:00 pm-8:30 pm. First is bathtime! Sage absolutely loves the water, so this is always fun. We’ve been using Honest, or Mustela Baby products lately, both of which smell SO amazing, and have these little ballerina toys in the bath to play with (hey, have to start her love of dance early!). We also love to use the hooded animal towels after bath time to make sure her head always stays nice and warm.
After bathtime, we have a mini spa session. I lather her up with lotion, comb out her hair, put comfy jammies on, and get cozy. It’s seriously the cutest thing! I love using a lotion with lavender or other calming properties to help her unwind from the day and relax. I’ll usually put a sleep sack on at this time, too, just in case she falls asleep during her last bottle. As you guys know, I absolutely loved the Dreamland Baby Co. weighted blankets and swaddles for bedtime, but now that Sage sleeps on her stomach most of the time, we’ve been using wearable blankets like the Copper Pearl sleep bag.
After Sage is all bundled up and ready for bed, she usually takes a bottle while reading a story. I love the Comotomo bottle because it comes in a few different sizes, and it’s flexible enough for her to hold onto. We also bought these little handles for her bottles because they fit perfectly on the Comotomo for when she wants to feed herself. She is Miss Independent these days! For storytime, a few books we love right now are Moo, Baa, La La La to work on her sounds, Wherever You Are My Love Will Find You (grab the tissues!), and The Going to Bed Book.
If she hasn’t fallen asleep already, we’ll change her diaper one last time and transfer her to the crib for a good night’s sleep! It’s such a sweet routine we have together, and I cherish every single moment, I know it won’t last forever!
Summer is almost here, and I’m starting to get back into my pre-baby routine finally! It’s taken me about six months to get used to newborn life, and I’ve started to prioritize my health and wellbeing, which has felt incredible! You all know how much I love my workouts, so being able to sneak one in daily has been life-changing. I notice such a shift in my mood, how I am as a mother and wife, and how productive I am during the day. Growing up as a dancer with a strict schedule, I feel lost when I don’t have one, but I wasn’t hard on myself these past six months since I was going through something new and exciting! Days are so unpredictable with a newborn, and since I don’t have scheduled help every day, it can be challenging to schedule in “me time.” If there is one piece of advice I can give new moms, it’s to be patient with yourself. You will not go “back to normal” right away, and to be completely honest, you probably never will. Your body goes through something so amazing, so appreciate it and give it time. I’m starting to feel like myself again, but that doesn’t mean that I look like I did before Sage. It took me a long time to accept that! I wanted to start working out immediately, but I knew that wasn’t possible. Just remember, your health and wellbeing don’t just revolve around dropping the baby weight! It’s your mental state, your nutrition, sleep schedule, etc. I couldn’t work out for the first month after my c-section, so I prioritized my nutrition, sleep schedule, and mental health through meditation. By the time I started working out, I already felt more like me, and I truly feel like it has helped me get back to a comfortable place with my health. I know we are all in different stages, but I always find it helpful to see what other people’s health and wellness routines are. This is by no means the right thing to do, but this is what works for me! Having a daily plan that you follow each day will make it easier for you to stay on top of your goals – whatever they might be! From cooking healthy recipes to scheduling meditation sessions, read more about what my weekly schedule looks like and how I prioritize my health and wellness throughout the week. Remember, health and wellness aren’t just about weight – it’s everything.
Morning
Wake up, drink hot water with lemon, take my supplements. I start out each morning with a cup of hot water and lemon. It’s said to help boost your metabolism, so I drink it every morning before I eat anything. I also take my daily multivitamin from Ritual. A daily vitamin is SO important and I love Ritual because you don’t have to worry about taking multiple supplements and this one meets you where you’re at and fills in the gaps in your diet. I highly recommend starting a daily multivitamin. My code LINDSAYC10 still works if you’re interested in trying!
Workout or film new workouts for Move With Linds. I create a weekly schedule that I follow, so I’m always mixing in strength, cardio, and toning. I *try* to work out 5 days a week, but there are definitely days I don’t get to it, so don’t get down on yourself if you can only work out a few times a week. If working out is something new to you, try doing it every other day or at least twice a week. Then you can build up to 5 days a week or even 7 – whatever works for you. I always say to take it slow because you don’t want to burn out too quickly on your health and wellness journey. Especially after having a baby, I could only do 2 times a week max, and then I slowly built up my stamina! Just remember, patience! Write that on a sticky note and place it somewhere you will see every day. It’ a great reminder and will help your mindset as you take on each day.
Take a hot shower. Sometimes I stay in my workout clothes for the day if I’ll be running errands, but I always wash my face after a workout, take a makeup wipe, and run it on my chest and under my sports bra! During this time, I love to put on a podcast or listen to a guided meditation. For me, I like to be doing something while meditating. Maybe that defeats the purpose, but there is nothing like taking a hot shower and meditating – it’s an incredible feeling! Meditating has helped me out so much over the past six months, and I highly recommend it! Calm has a lot of options for you to listen to!
Wake up Sagey, and snuggles. We normally get back into bed or lay on the couch and play together for a bit before starting my day. Every day is different, and sometimes I have many meetings or have appointments I have to get to, but I always dedicate my mornings to just me and Sage.
Breakfast time! The most important meal of the day – IMO! I like to make a dairy-free yogurt bowl with berries and granola or a Daily Harvest Smoothie (use LINDSAY25). Make sure you don’t skip breakfast! I snack and binge less when I have breakfast. After breakfast, I usually get out my laptop and work! I’m working on a few different collab products, plus I have my influencer business and Move With Linds, so I go back and forth between all of my to-do lists!
Afternoon
Personal Time! Make sure you schedule time for yourself throughout your day. Whether it’s working out, reading, going for a walk, etc., make sure you schedule your time! I give myself my morning for “me time,” but I also love to schedule either a nail appointment, massage, facial, or lunch with my friends every week. It’s nice to treat yourself every week, and it’s also something to look forward to. I normally schedule this during lunchtime or in the early evening when Sam gets home to watch Sage as I have some time to myself.
Lunchtime! I normally meal prep on either Sunday or Monday! This keeps my nutrition on track, and whenever I’m hungry, I reach for my healthy prepared snacks vs. a sugary treat or chips. Meal prepping can be a hassle, but it’s also a game-changer and will help you on your health and wellness journey. For lunch, I usually make a protein-packed salad or wrap. I try not to overload on carbs because it makes me really tired, so I prefer to eat more greens and proteins. This will keep you full longer and won’t give you a sugar crash around that 3 PM slump where all you want is cake – or maybe that’s just me, haha!
Light walk with Sage and Moose or stretch session during Sage’s nap. If you’re sitting at your desk all day or not really on your feet, make it a priority to get up and move. Even if you worked out in the morning, I still love to go for a walk outside for 30 minutes or play some music and do a mini flow with stretches while Sage naps. I know you think you don’t have time, but you do! Go for a walk while you’re on a conference call, or do some stretches while you’re finishing up an email. I try to do it screen-free, so I give my mind a rest and really unplug before I get back to it, but there are days when I need to be on a call on my walk, and that’s fine too!
Evening
Prepare for the next day. I like to schedule what I didn’t get to and what needs to get done the following day. This keeps me very organized, so I don’t feel frazzled when I wake up. Try making a list each night and “studying” it so you get in the right headspace for what you have to do the next day. This also allows me to schedule my workouts and me time so I don’t push them off.
Cook a healthy dinner. Each week I try to pick 2-3 healthy recipes to make for dinner. Again, this is usually all planned on Monday, so when it comes time for dinner, we aren’t reaching for junk or ordering fast food! A lot of what goes into staying on top of your health and wellness goals and having an efficient routine is planning. It can be time-consuming, but it’s worth it when you are starving at dinner time!
Take a bath. After a long day, I love to take a bath – sometimes with Sage! I light some candles, apply a face mask, and put on some soothing tunes. If I’m reading a good book, I’ll do that, too! This is the best end to my day. It calms me down and is a little reward.
Guided sleep meditation. I love listening to sleep mediation to help put my mind to sleep. I have a hard time getting to bed at times, and sleep is so important for your overall health and wellness, so make sure you are putting your phone down and allowing yourself at least 6-8 hours of sleep each night.
Let me know what your weekly health & wellness routine looks like below!
As you may have seen, we’ve traveled a few times now with Sage, including flying with her for the very first time a couple of months ago. I had no idea what to expect traveling with an infant but was definitely nervous. I wanted to share a few things that made our experience a little easier in hopes of helping fellow parents out there that may be planning a trip soon!
Read Up on the Airline
Study up on your airline’s policies! Take the time to read up on what their policies are for boarding with young children. Often, pre-boarding is allowed for families with babies between the ages of 0-2, even before first class or business.
Gear Up
Make sure that you are prepared with the right “stuff” to make life easier. For us, the Doona All-in-One made things so much easier to travel, knowing we had a portable car seat to stroller combo with a lightweight base for a rental car. It was a game-changer! I also recommend having a carrier handy for any quick layovers or if you decide to check your stroller before going through security. We love the Baby Bjorn!
Car Seat Bag
Similar to having the right gear, buying a specific car seat bag to put our Doona in was something that made life so much easier! It provides extra space for snacks, toys, diapers, etc., without increasing the number of bags in tow (we all know the airlines are very particular!)
Toys
We decided to buy some new toys to have Sage play with for the first time on the plane, just in case. I figured if she were super fussy or bored, we’d have a few minutes of her exploring new things and us holding her attention. It worked! She loved this cactus soother and Winkle sensory rattle the most.
The Essentials
Everyone feeds, changes, and cares for their baby differently, so I’ll say this, bring extra! If it’s formula, bottles, pajamas, diapers, etc.- bring more than what you think you need. I also love having a handful of these reusable wet bags for any spit-up or diaper accidents. Speaking of diaper changes, I was surprised to see that not all places were super accommodating with spaces to change Sage, so remember to have a changing mat with you. I love using these leather mats from Gathre, they are super compact and easy to clean!
Give Yourself Grace
Above all, know that things probably aren’t going to go exactly according to whatever plan you may have in your head, and that’s okay! Pat yourself on the back and know that it’s hard to travel with a baby, and you’re doing a great job!
As you’ve probably seen on my Instagram stories, I did another Amazon haul recently and wanted to share everything I bought with you guys. There are some really cute, reasonably priced finds for spring and summer for days, nights, and everything in between!
I love the high neckline and flowiness of this dress. I feel like it’s something that would be super flattering on all body types, and I love the variety of colors and patterns.
This is such a versatile top. You can dress it up or dress it down, and I love that it looks like a nice, thick material while still feeling lightweight.
I wasn’t sure how this top would look in person, but I’m so glad I ordered it. It looks really cute tucked into a pair of high-waisted jeans, and I love the sleeve detail.
I honestly may need to order this in every color. It is the perfect top to wear with comfy pants or shorts around the house during the summer and can be totally dressed up a bit with a flowy skirt or jacket for a date night.
I love the ruffle detailing and floral print of this dress; it reminds me of an evening at the beach. Make sure to look at the sizing chart before ordering, though, and use your measurements!
I realize I definitely got quite a few dresses in this haul, but I love this one too! The wrap dress cinches the waist, and the length is perfect. I also saw that the model threw a sweater over it, and it made for the cutest skirt, too. Dual-purpose!
I saw so many people raving about these shorts being a dupe for the Lululemon running shorts I love, so I had to give them a try. I haven’t worn them yet, but stay tuned!
I know I always love seeing what people are buying from Amazon, so I hope you enjoyed seeing what’s been in my cart. I’ll definitely keep everyone posted on how these items wear and last!
As the warmer months start to approach (it was 75 in Utah the other day!!), I’m switching out my winter skincare products and adding in perfect products for the warmer, sunkissed days ahead. It’s so important to keep your routine ever-changing – especially as the seasons change! A rule of thumb is to change your products out 4 times a year for the different seasons. This doesn’t mean you need to swap out all of your skincare, just a few items that make sense for that time of year! For example, I use a lot of heavy creams at night during the winter to lock in moisture, but as we approach summer, I don’t use them anymore and stick with a basic moisturizer because our skin tends to hold more water in the warmer months. I try to go heavier with rich creams and oils in the winter and lighter with dewy, hydrating moisturizers and serums as we head into spring and summer. I outlined my routine, so it’s easy for you to follow!
Oil Cleanse with this Seabuckthorn Oil: If there’s one thing you need to buy, it’s this! It’s called Best Skin Ever for a reason. This has completely changed my skin!! If you have oily skin, don’t be afraid to use this product. It’s for everyone and will work to cleanse, exfoliate, and tone. I love double cleansing in the spring/summer because of all the buildup from sunscreens and other products that get into your pores. Follow this tutorial!
Cleanse with Tula’s Cult Classic Cleanser: This one is a constant in my skincare routine. It’s perfect for any season and leaves your skin clean, balanced, and hydrated.
Apply retinol: Now that I’m done breastfeeding, I’ve incorporated gentle retinol into my routine again! Retinol is such an amazing product and works to reduce wrinkles, redness and minimize pores.
Hydrate with this overnight moisturizer/mask: This product is perfect for spring and summer! It’s not super heavy and will leave you with hydrated and glowy skin when you wake up.

Incorporating Purposeful Play Into Our Daily Routine
When it comes to a baby’s milestones and development, there are so many amazing resources out there, but it can all feel extremely overwhelming. I remember starting to go down the path of wondering if I was doing enough or comparing progress in certain areas. I definitely had to take a step back and tune out all of the extra noise. I’ve found that what works best for me is simply enjoying my baby. I consciously take time to celebrate every moment, meet her where she is at and support her as best I can without putting too much pressure on either of us to achieve the “next thing.” For our family, this means we carve out 20-30 minutes a day for what we call “purposeful play” and leave the rest of the day to spend with one another, whatever that looks like.
So what is purposeful play, anyway? It’s really just like any other playtime, but I am more in tune with different developmental markers and further them. I’ll consciously do some stretching (yes, it’s the dancer in me!), work on head control, visual tracking, tummy time, sitting, and more, all while making it fun for Sage.
Below are some of my favorite toys to use while playing and working on developmental skills. I’m, of course, by no means a professional, just a mom sharing some fun things that have worked for my baby!
Visual Tracking
Sage loves anything that lights up. We used this little light-up toy wand to work on visual tracking and rolling, and it holds her attention forever!
Core Strength
We absolutely love bouncing away on a medium-sized exercise ball to build up core strength and work on different positioning. It allows babies to move more freely from position to position with varying levels of difficulty depending on which movements we are focusing on.
Tummy Time
It’s so adorable to watch babies stare at themselves in a mirror. We love the Mobi developmental mirror because it transitioned with your baby through different ages and used the Sassy Tummy Time mirror a ton when Sage was beginning to explore things on her tummy.
Sitting
It was so exciting when Sage started to become interested in sitting up and looking around at the world. We loved using the Sit Me Up floor seat and the Upseat to get her used to actively playing with toys in the seated position while she was still learning. Now that she is older and stronger, we started using the Sit-to-Stand learning walker because of how incredibly versatile it will be through all stages of her development in sitting, kneeling, and eventually walking!
It’s crazy how fast Sage has changed before my eyes, so the biggest piece of advice I will give is to soak up every single moment!
Anyone else feel like Gen-Z is starting to take over and invent/bring back all these trends we grew up doing when we were younger?! I feel like I’m in on all the “cool” trends because of my little sister, Rylee. She’s always telling me what’s hot and what’s not. It’s so funny when she tries to tell me about a certain style or hair trend, even though I’ve already done that before back in high school!
This spring, I’m dipping my toes back into some of these trends to spice up my hair game. Let me know which trends you are trying out!
Curtain Bangs: TikTok has ALMOST convinced me to get curtain bangs. I see them everywhere, and I think I might try this out. Curtain bangs are a little less scary than cutting real bangs because they can easily be pulled back behind the ears. I love how they take any hairstyle up a notch – especially a ponytail or messy bun. Let me know if you think I should cut curtain bangs at my next hair appointment.
Center Parts: Center parts are back! I’ve actually been rocking a center part for most of my life, but now you can spice up a center part look with two small braids that frame your face or pull back the two front pieces with cute butterfly hairclips. If you’re looking for a change, but don’t want to do anything permanent, try out a middle part! It instantly changes the look of any haircut.
The 90’s Flip: Love this sleek look! The flip at the end of the hair gives me Betty from Mad Men vibes. All you need to achieve this look is some hairspray and flat iron to curl up the ends.
Pig Tails: I’m not sure if this is classified as a trend yet, but I just wore my hair in pigtails the other day, and it won’t be the last time. It gives my Baby Spice vibes, and I love how young it makes me feel. If you don’t want to commit to pigtails fully, you can do a half-up-half-down pigtails. Feel free to get funky with hair ties, gems, or even add in a braid.
I love it when the seasons change, and you can start to smell the warm weather in the air. Not only is it nice not to wake up to shivering temperatures and be able to go on hikes in beautiful weather, but it’s also a chance to put your winter wardrobe away for a while and step into your spring clothes. Last spring, we were all inside wearing a different sweat set every day, but this spring, I’m starting to see more and more fashion which makes me so excited. It means that our world is slowly getting back to normal, and with that, we can all enjoy being outdoors, seeing friends again, and wearing cute outfits!
It feels like 2 years since I thought about my spring clothes, so I’ve been doing some shopping, and I’ve been loving all the trends I see this year. I have so many basics I carry over from the previous season, but I always love to buy a few new staples each season to freshen up my wardrobe. This season, I’m adding 5 new essentials into my wardrobe based on the trends I see this year: white button-downs, high-waisted jeans, oversized boyfriend blazer, pop of color accessories, and luxury leather sandals.
White Button Down: There’s nothing like a crisp white button-down. It instantly elevates any outfit and makes you look so classic and chic. Pair it with white jeans for a monochromatic look or with some cute trousers, and you are ready for the day. Everyone should have at least one white button-down in their closet! They are so easy to layer, plus you can keep it open and add a cute tank underneath or even tie it up with a pair of shorts.
High Waisted Jeans: I don’t care what Gen-Z says, but I will never go back to low-rise. This may go against what all the trend reports say, but I love myself good high-waisted jeans, and I’m adding more to my wardrobe this season. I like to always have a few different color washes in my closet to choose from. You can style high-waisted jeans differently, so I would invest in a pair that doesn’t stretch out too much. I wear mine sometimes 4-5 times a week!!
Oversized Boyfriend Blazer: Anyone else stalk Hailey Bieber’s account to see what she’s been wearing lately? I saw her step out with an oversized blazer and jean shorts and immediately started looking for the perfect blazer. I know blazers have been in style for a while, but make sure you look for that boyfriend style because it adds a whole new level of edgy-chic vs. boardroom-chic.
Pop of Color Bags: I love when I see that neutral is still in, and the only color you need is from your accessories! We all have neutral tones in our closets, so if you’re looking to spend on a few new spring essentials, look for pops of color in your accessories.
Luxury Leather Sandals: A good quality leather sandal is a must-have in your closet for both spring and summer. I know it can still be chilly to wear sandals in spring, but I always throw on a pair of leather sandals with my outfit on the days that it’s not. They go with EVERYTHING! I wear them from spring and even though the fall with jeans. This is a good item to spend a little more on because you want them to last through the spring and summer, plus you can wear them for years to come.
10 Things You Actually Need for a Baby You Won’t Find on a Registry
Being a first-time mom, I found myself googling everything under the sun when preparing for Sage’s arrival. I knew there would be so much trial and error to figure out what worked for our family, but I wanted to be as ready as possible. There are so many things the world wide web tells you absolutely need for baby- seats that bounce, chairs that rock, ten different noise-making play mats. Don’t get me wrong, all of these things are great, but I’ve rounded up ten things no one really told me about that we use pretty much every single day. They are definitely less glamorous but incredibly useful if you are a momma-to-be!
The Picker: This little tool is the absolute best thing out there. For the pesky nose boogers, dirt under the fingernails, eyes, ears- you name it-this amazing tool is gentle enough to remove them all without your baby making a fuss.
Car Camera: I felt like I could never get the perfect angle with the standard car mirror and absolutely love that this alternative can sit perfectly on our dash. The tiny camera is such great quality and picks up a wide-angle to see exactly what Sage is up to in the backseat. I also love that it doesn’t lose its video quality when driving at night!
Frida Snotsucker: And, back to boogers! This tool is definitely growing in popularity but is a gamechanger. It is so much easier than using a traditional bulb in clearing a baby’s nose.
Wet/Dry Bags: I’m always keeping a few of these in our diaper bag and car in case of a diaper emergency because, let’s be real, we know it’ll happen eventually. Whatever the case may be, these little bags can store diapers, wet/dirty clothes, etc., while you’re on the go and keep any smell locked in. The best part is, you can throw everything in the washing machine and reuse it!
Humidifier: As the weather changed, I noticed a little more irritability and congestion after nap time or waking up in the morning. As soon as we began more consistently using a humidifier, it was a night and day difference. Definitely, a must-have for the nursery!
Towel Warmer: Okay, this one may not be an absolute need, but it’s certainly made bathtime a whole lot easier, especially when Sage was a newborn. To have a warm towel ready when we transitioned out of the bath made for a much calmer bedtime routine for all. And added bonus? Warm towels for Mom and Dad too!
Drawer Dividers: Definitely stock up on some drawer dividers! Baby clothes are small, and you’ll want to be able to customize your space within a dresser for all of the tiny items and have the ability to rearrange the configuration as they grow.
Travel First Aid Kit: I love having this cute little travel first aid kit in our diaper bag for peace of mind. It has everything you might need in a pinch and may not have thought about it until you’d actually need it.
Baby Shusher: I’ve definitely seen this item on a few registries but wanted to reiterate how amazing it is to have a portable noise machine for walks, car trips, etc. This one is great because, at least for me, the human “shhh” noise definitely soothed Sage more than some of the others.
Carseat Cover: I’d totally forgot to get one of these until I was in the hospital seeing new moms with their baby in the car seat all covered up. So here is my friendly reminder to plan ahead!
BONUS Derma Frida: This sponge, brush, and comb is the best 3-in-1 for bathtime. It’s so gentle yet so effective in preventing cradle cap and dry scalp. A must-have!
