3 Newborn Products Every Mama Should Have

I get so many questions asking what my must-have newborn products are, and now that Sage is almost two months old, I wanted to put a list together of the three products I use daily and couldn’t imagine my life without. Every mom needs these three items, so if you’re expecting, just had a baby, or are looking for a gift for a new mama, you can’t go wrong with these products!

The first newborn product every mama needs is the DockATot. Sage LIVES in this! It’s so cozy and safe, and I love that we can move it around the house. Whether I’m in my bathroom getting ready, filming Youtube videos with my sisters, or sitting on my laptop in the living room, Sage is always right by my side, lying in her DockATot. This is worth every penny because you will use it every day. They have so many different covers, and it’s washable! Since it’s winter, we added a cozy blanket, and honestly, I wish they made one for adults because she looks so snuggly in there!

The second newborn product every mama needs is a baby wrap. I’ve tried a few different ones, but I love my Solly Baby Wrap. I had a hard time at first putting Sage down. I was carrying her for most of the day, and it was tough to get anything done. I received the Solly Baby Wrap as a baby shower present, so I tried it on, and I’ve never looked back. It’s incredibly secure, lightweight, and they come in so many cute patterns and prints. Sam can even wear it, too! This way, I can still hold Sage, but now I have my hands back!

The third newborn product every mama needs is the Doona Car Seat and Stroller. Don’t get me wrong, I love all of my strollers, but this one is super convenient and easy to use. Instead of having to worry about a stroller AND car seat, this is a two in one. We love it, especially if I’m running errands with Sage, or if we go for a little weekend getaway, we bring this with us! We have an upcoming trip to Mexico, and we plan on bringing this, so we don’t have to worry about carrying too much gear. Every mom needs this stroller in their life!

What’s Currently In My Cart For Sage

Ever since Sage arrived and even before, I swear I spend more time looking for cute baby clothes and items than for anything else!! She may never get to wear all of the clothes I buy for her since she’s growing so fast, but they do look cute hanging up in her closet. There are a few items I have my eyes on right now. Since it’s the holiday season, I’ve been looking around for cute dresses and accessories. This is our first Christmas with Sage, so I want to dress her up in all the holiday outfits I can find. Jensen and I did a photoshoot with her the other day, and we dressed her up in so many cute outfits, like this, and I now need every baby animal outfit I can find. Although we won’t be doing what we usually do during the holidays, we’re still trying to make this year special and one to remember. Even if we are staying in and sitting on the couch, I’m still going to dress her up in all the holiday dresses I can find!!

Since this is Sage’s first Christmas, I have a few items in my cart I plan on getting her! I know she’s too young even to know what’s going on, but she’ll be able to use these toys as she gets bigger! I found this cute dollhouse on pottery barn, and I thought it would be the perfect gift. I love gifts you can add on to as the year’s pass. For every birthday, holiday, or special occasion, I can gift her a new item for her dollhouse! Plus, it’s so beautiful and will be a nice addition to her nursery.

I have my eyes on a good travel bag since we’re planning a family vacation soon. This will be our first time traveling with Sage, and I can only imagine all of the baby items I’ll need to bring with me. I have a few diaper bags that keep everything organized, but I want something that can fit some of my belongings and all of Sage’s must-haves while we are on the plane. I found this bag and love all of the compartments. This will be perfect for traveling since it is also a backpack! And since we are going somewhere warm, I added a few swimsuits and summer outfits to my cart as well. I saw this swimsuit, and I couldn’t resist!! Stay tuned for an overload of Summer Sage content.

Not everything in my cart is fun! I added a baby bath I want to try, a smart thermometer, and a few other baby necessities. Shop all the items I have in my cart below!

What’s in Sage’s Closet

Sage's Closet

Ahh, Baby Girl is here and her closet is a dream. I had so much fun shopping for her during my pregnancy and curating her little closet. She seriously has a better wardrobe than me now!! Everyone tells you that newborns will be in and out of their clothing so fast and to wait until they are older to buy nice clothes, but I couldn’t help myself. And now that she’s here, I’m so happy she has options because we change outfits like seven times a day (no joke). I put together some of my favorite items she has in her closet below. There are so many cute baby brands out there, but some of my favorites are Quincy Mae, Rylee and Cru, Mebie Baby, and Lou Lou and Company. I can’t wait to see her in all of these cute items and take pictures!!

Outdoor Gear

Ok, let’s start with some of my favorite pieces in Sage’s closet! It gets really cold in Utah, so I wanted to make sure Sage had a few good jackets and snowsuits. One of the first things I purchased was this insanely adorable snowsuit from Patagonia. I also got her a few thicker onesies that would be comfortable for her to stay in when we’re out and about! I love all things with little ears on the hoods and this super-soft onesie is another one of my favorites in her closet.

Onesies

You can never have too many onesies. Sage lives in all of her onesies and we go through so many a day. I had so much fun picking out beautiful patterns with matching hats and headbands. One of my favorite and easiest outfits she wears is the knotted gown from Lou Lou and Company. It’s insanely adorable but also really easy to get her in and out of when I need to change her diaper.

Cute Shoes

Even though she doesn’t wear shoes often since we don’t go out much, I still had to make sure she had some stylish options to complete her looks. Some of my favorites are her hunter booties and ugg boots so her feet stay warm all winter long!

Accessories

I LOVE to accessorize Sage, and I think she likes it too. I’m a sucker for matching sets with a headband or hat to match. Just the other day I put her in a onesie with this little bunny hat with floppy ears from Meri Meri, and I couldn’t stop crying. Why are baby clothes so cute?!

If you missed it, we filmed a full youtube video of Sage’s closet, so go check it out and comment what you think of all of her cute clothes!!
