My Guide to Self Tanning

I always get a bunch of questions about my self tanning routine, so I’d thought I’d put it down in a blog post for you guys. It’s seriously the best feeling to always be a bit bronzed and glowy.

My self-tan routine is a staple all year round that I’ve now perfected. I’ve tried every routine in the book, tried every self-tanner out there, and I’ve finally nailed down a routine that works.

 

Step One: Skin Prep

In my opinion, this is definitely the most important part. It can make or break the look of your tan. When I’m in the shower, I first exfoliate. Any body scrub will do, but my personal favorite is the TULA Revitalize & Cleanse Body Exfoliator. It helps to take all of that dead skin off and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. I then go ahead and shave my legs – nothing special here, you can use whatever razor and soap/cream that works for you!

 

Step Two: Getaway Glow

As most of you know, I came out with my own tanning product with Volition Beauty called the Getaway Glow Gradual Tan Firming Body Moisturizer. I worked so hard to create the most perfect formula that combines self-tanner + body cream + stretchmark oil into one convenient formula.

On clean, dry skin, apply an even layer in circular motions until fully absorbed. You can apply it daily and consecutively for the tan you want. Right after you apply it, make sure to wash your hands immediately!
